We met in Boston - by chance! Both of us signed up for co-ed beach volleyball in search of competition and meeting some new friends. It had to be a greater plan that put us on the same team. We both learned quickly how competitive we were -sparring on the sand, determined not to lose a game! Championships were won and a fun friendship was formed.

Our friendship grew with a shared love for good food, drink, country music and college sports. With our respective careers taking off, we made time to have fun, expand our horizons in Boston building a strong friendship network while having a lot of fun together.

Tyler’s first trip to Louisiana was to Jannah’s farm - Sweet Lake. A few days of crawfish, country music, and a ton of fun people, we both recognized this was more than a friendship. We made our relationship status of “dating” shortly afterwards!

Career opportunities in Los Angeles tested the seriousness of our relationship and together, we decided to make the journey from East Coast to the West! Bigger work responsibilities for both of us, coupled with another new city, led us back to our roots - more beach volley ball! And yes, a few more championships! Ha ha!

More new friends, tons of great experiences and a love that continued to grow - here we are! A proposal in Malibu with family and friends was the official start of our life together.
